Cuban Sandwich Burger

 INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound freshly ground pork

  • 1 pound freshly ground beef chuck

  • 3 teaspoons of Adobo seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro

  • 9-18 slices of Swiss cheese. (Cheese can be doubled)

  • 18 thin slices of ham

  • 9-19 slices of salami

  • 9 thin pickles sliced in half

  • ½ cup mustard as desired

  • ½ cup mayonnaise as desired

  • 2 tablespoons of Mojo Criollo

  • 4 sturdy burger buns, preferably a Brioche Bun

  • Salt, to taste

  • Pepper, to taste

HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE

  1. In a large bowl, gently mix ground pork & chuck, Adobo, and cilantro. Mix together

  2. Divide meat into four even piles and shape into burger patties about 1/2-inch wider than burger buns. Season generously with salt and pepper and set aside.

  3. Place burger patty to a pre-heated grill over medium high heat, cook 4-7 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

  4. While burgers are cooking, mix mayonnaise, mustard, and mojo criollo together to form a sauce.

  5. Toast buns directly over hot side of grill until browned, about 30 seconds.

  6. When the burgers are done, top with sliced salami, ham, and top with cheese to melt and remove Cuban burgers from the grill.

  7. Lather your bottom bun with the mojo mayo-mustard sauce, sliced pickles and then place your burger on top, and enjoy
